The kids and I went to Utah to spend some time with my parents before they left on their mission to Hawaii. They are now serving at the Polynesian Culture Center. This is a photo taken in the MTC before their departure.
There was a parade for the 24th of July. The kids decorated their bikes.
They loved following the fire truck.
We spent the afternoon at This is the Place in SLC.
The Kimball House
One of the highlights was when they shot taffy out of a cannon. You can see all the tiny pieces in the air.
You should have seen how the kids all ran after that candy! A large cloud of dust arose instantly!
How did we survive the 100 degree weather? Yes, squirt bottles - great idea Don and Heidi !!!
